Imagine that during business school orientation you are assigned to three- person team. This is the team you will work with on projects and assignments throughout the first semester. If you had the opportunity to select one (and only one) person to be on this team with you whom would you select and why? This person may be living or deceased. If I were to select one person to be my partner in my prospective MBA program to undertake a project, I would select my elder brother Xie Tao. The first reason is that he graduated from the Physics Department of Peking University that has helped to shape a strong mathematics and physics foundation. This experience has trained him to develop a powerful ability of logical analysis and mathematical sensitivity. This also enables him to have an unusual learning ability, making him cogent in analysis and orderly in the performance of business activities.

Next, his rich work experience can always put him in a calm state of mind when he is confronted with difficulties. As senior manager at Pricewaterhouse China, he has offered consultation for many large-scale projects in the field of Chinese urban development and environmental construction. His rich experience in company administration will give me much enlightenment and benefit. He never backs away in the face of challenges and he can always steer a course out of dilemmas. His is friendly and kindhearted in dealing with people and he is also a good organizer and team player. I choose him because he is able-bodied and creative. His courage enables him to attempt at things that have seldom been attempted at by others. He is both enterprising and pioneering.

Finally, his great achievements over the past few years as a business administrator will not only exert great pressure on me but also will provide important impetus to me. Under the pressure of being possibly dwarfed by my elder brother, I will make extraordinarily hard efforts to catch up with and surpass him. That is why I enjoy working with him in a team. The challenges that he poses to me will be the most powerful stimulus for me to bring into full play my greatest potential and to achieve constant self-improvement.
