Optional: Is there anything that is missing from this application that you would like the admissions committee to know about you? Is there an unusual experience, circumstance, or achievement that has not been addressed or that does not appear on your resume? This is also your opportunity to comment on anything that you feel needs particular qualification such as: unexplained gaps in your work history, sudden changes in schools or in employment, performance in undergraduate courses, etc.

Golf is my favorite sport. Although I have only been playing golf since 1998, I have fallen in love with the game. I believe that playing golf has taught me some very useful lessons and skills that benefit both my personal and my professional life.

Learning to play golf has improved my ability to make the right judgments and decisions in my life. Before you hit the ball on the golf course, you must check the lie of the ball, the wind speed, check to see whether there are sand traps or water hazards ahead, and most importantly, you must take your next shot into consideration as well. This has parallel implications for life and work also. You must fully understand the advantages of disadvantages of a situation and the consequences of your actions before you make a decision. Before I learned to play golf, I was always in a rush to make decisions. After three years of playing golf, I have found that I now make a thorough evaluation of the situation before I make a decision. Golf has taught me to be patient and to take my time while evaluating my options in order to make the best judgment in a given situation.

Additionally, from playing golf for fun and in a series of competitive matches, I have learned to calmly face challenges and to perform under heavy pressure. A game on the golf course is full of challenges - you never know exactly how your shots will turn out and what conditions you may face on each hole. Life is much like the game of golf, full of both opportunities and challenges. Last year, I was chosen to represent our team in a sudden death playoff after a draw. With so many people in the galleries along the fairway, I was very nervous in the beginning. However, I was able to focus on the game and gradually forgot the pressure. This experience has been very helpful in my work and personal life.
