很多中国的申请者由于经验不足，文书准备的不够精致，在申请的过程中与国外院校沟通交流不充分等原因，发出的申请大多如石沉大海，杳无音信。饱受挫折的申请者将被国外院校拒绝形象地称为“被锯”。而得到嘉文博译帮助的申请者，则因为出众细致的文书写作和充分有效的沟通，往往能够得到大部分，甚至全部所申请学校的录取（和奖学金）。此时，申请者就有了“锯”掉学校的机会。

        “被锯”是痛苦的，被录取是快乐的，而“锯”掉一些学校的录取则往往是因为有更好的选择。当然，这种“拒”也不是草率、轻慢的拒绝，而应该是一种诚恳谦逊、彬彬有礼的沟通，在拒绝对方的同时，说明自己不能入学的理由，表示对对方院校的尊重是很重要的。

一所学校的拒信：

    招生委员为已经仔细审阅了申请人的申请材料，但是很遗憾申请人没能入选。

    进一步解释：因为今年的申请者都很优秀，竞争激烈，所以他们做出了这一艰难的决定。

    表示赞赏申请人对该专业的兴趣。虽然不能提供录取，但仍赞赏申请人为申请付出的努力，祝愿申请人达成梦想。

另一所学校的录取信：

学校研究生院来函：

    祝贺申请人被录取，热情洋溢地称赞申请人在申请中表现出的学术能力、领导力以及优秀的个人品格。

    对方表示，一旦接受邀请，就意味着全心投入在世界级顶尖商学院学习，并说本院对学生有很高要求，相信大家都能成为国际会计专家。鼓励申请人接受录取。

研究生院来函后，学校系主任也来函：

    表明身份，开诚布公地说，自己有多年领导经验，之所以到本系做系主任是因为看重本系一流的学术地位和发展的潜力。表达希望同学们和自己一样打算在该系有所成就。

    说明本系在未来两年内会有很大的发展，进一步得到世界的认可：顺应经济全球化的趋势，我们更多的引进国际师资和生源，建立于其他顶尖学校的联系，给本系学生更多国际交流的机会等。

    强调本系会引进更好的师资。本系一贯保持了很高的师生比，未来两年，随着专业项目规模的增长，师资也会大幅提高。现在的学术市场提供了很好的机会，便于本校聘用更多优秀的教师。特别强调新老师们会秉承本系历来闻名的高水平的教学。希望申请人能够选择本系。

    进一步说本系的各个专业都很强大，毕业生供不应求：最近的MBA和会计硕士就业率近100%；尽管金融业不景气，但本系的金融硕士们仍获得了更多的机会和更高的薪金；新能源专业的学生获得了很多领先的大企业的青睐。而且特别指出，对于国际学生来说，在美国找到工作尤其重要。说明虽然学校不保证毕业生的工作，但是会帮助他们建立合适的职业规划。

    再一次强调该系传统实力很强，目前又不断拓新发展领域，更好地提升毕业生的价值，并强调现在是入学的好时机。再一次表达，真诚的希望申请人接受录取。

申请人去函：

    表示被录取感到由衷地高兴，并乐意接受录取，并确认说自己已经下载了确认材料。同时，简洁明了地询问对方是否接受已签署的确认表格的影印件，或是只接受原件；并询问对方如何支付定金。询问之后，还要感谢对方的解答，做到彬彬有礼。

研究生院来函：

    表示欢迎申请人的入学。表示可以接受确认表格影印件；指出定金需用信用卡支付。并索要申请人的护照影印件。

一段时间后，研究生院又一次来函：

        确认申请人已经收到了录取，但是至今没有收到确认表格或定金，催促申请人如果决定接受录取，则应尽快回复。同时，对申请人的犹豫表示理解：选择是否入学是一次重要的抉择。并表示乐意解答进一步的问题。再次强调对申请人的欢迎，期待申请人的回复。

Dear A:

Your application has been carefully reviewed by the M.S. in Accountancy Admissions Committee. I regret to inform you that you were not selected for the M.S. in Accountancy Program.

While this may not come as welcome news, I would like to assure you that the quality of the applicant pool requires the Committee to make very difficult choices.

We appreciate your interest in the University of XXXX’s M.S. in Accountancy Program. Though we are unable to offer you a seat starting the program in 20xx, we recognize the effort you put into the process and thank you for it. We all wish you success in your educational and professional pursuits.
