If you apply to Trinity College, please discuss why Duke a good match for you? (Art and Science)

First of all, your university enjoys a high esteem in economics for a long time. Your long history, beautiful campus, advanced education infrastructure and first-class faculty will provide me with an excellent study and living environment. I will have the opportunity to communicate with masterminds in the field of economics and explore the latest hot issues in economics together with gifted students from all over the world.

Second, I'm equally attracted by the abundant social practice opportunities you offer to your students. Economics is much more than what is written in textbooks. While many of its theories come from practice, they also need the test of and application in practice. It is through this ever-going on cycles that economics shows its boundless charm. I look forward to sharpening my observation ability, robust decision-making ability and agile adaptability in the rich and live world of market economics.

Finally, Trinity College is known for its bilingual exchange environment. Besides English, I speak three directs of Chinese: Mandarin, Cantonese and Southern Fujian dialect. I also speak some Japanese. I hope I will have more opportunities to practice my Japanese and achieve proficiency in the multi-lingual environment of Trinity College. Besides, I plan to master the French language which is considered by many people the most beautiful language in the world. I believe the mastery of multiple languages will be extremely beneficial to my career development in the future.
