Please describe which activity (extracurricular and work experience has had the most meaning to you and why?

I'm proud of myself even today I was once chairman of the student union of a first-rate high school in mainland China with over 4000 students. And this was the first time in the history of this school that such a post is held by a student from Hong Kong. This is a real honor for me and I'm grateful for the trust of my teachers and schoolmates in me. However, it also meant demanding responsibility to me. This sense of responsibility encouraged me to forge ahead for more progress while working conscientious for the school.

During my term as chairman of the student union, I made use of all opportunities to learn from students from different countries in different occasions and tried my utmost to improve myself. At the same time, I brought back their aspiring ideas and practices to my school and organized more diverse after-class activities for my schoolmates. These activities are rarely found in mainland Chinese high schools. Every step of progress I made in my work would bring endless encouragement and joy to me.

Among all the after-class activities I organized, the one I remember the best is the one I led the student's chorus of my school in winning the gold prize in an international chorus contest for secondary school students held in Sydney Opera House. I could not hold back my tears when I was handed the trophy cup. We did it! This is the first time for Chinese secondary school students to win gold prize in this contest. We were all proud of ourselves and our school.
