As Mr. Wang Yuehua's English teacher, I am most pleased to recommend to you such a high school graduate with extraordinary language talent and excellent school performance as a worthy candidate for admission to your university. Actually he has told me about his ideal to pursue studies abroad long before. His painstaking efforts in English study have been rewarded with outstanding records. Naturally I hope I can help him make his ideal come true.

Wang is one of the best students I have ever taught. His GPA is as high as 4.0. Such excellent school records owe a great deal to his solid foundation and consistent performance in class. In addition to constantly perfecting his pronunciation and intonation, he improves his oral English caliber by communicating with the foreign teachers on campus. I find that he is not only superior in oral expression but also in thought to his fellow students. During discussions on specific topics, his ideas are always mature, thought provoking, and to the point. What's more, he can express his ideas fluently and clearly. In 2001 when he was a junior in senior high school, Wang has entered into the Ninth National English Proficiency Competition for School Students and has won the third prize (He came seventh out of the 80,000 competitors from nearly 1,000 high schools).

I have deeply impressed by Wang's efficient study methods. While still spending his last year in the junior high school, he has passed CET-4 (College English Test Band Four) which is a test that the Ministry of Education of China requires college students to take before their graduation. As you can see, is TOEFL score is much higher than that of most college students. Besides, he had begun learning Japanese the first year he entered senior high school and in the following year has passed Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2. This internationally authenticated test shows that his Japanese proficiency has approximately reached that of Japanese senior high school students'. One has to bear in mind that such amazing accomplishments have been made when he had to tackle the heavy learning tasks of other major courses, undertake work in the student union, and take part in extracurricular activities. In addition to his rare talents, I believe it is his efficient study methods that have contributed much to his success.
