Most people go through their lives dreaming big dreams but never even come close to achieving them. Once I have earned my MBA degree from xx, I will be well on my way to realizing my most fervent dreams of earning a world-class MBA degree and becoming a top-notch professional business consultant.

My short-term goal is to embrace the challenge of the xx MBA programme. My previous work experience has led me to great success but I have realized that something is missing. As a supermarket manager for the xx Supermarket, I excelled in my training programme as I learned to adapt to the management methods and working style of the French. From product lineup display to ordering stocks and training employees to take pride in their work, I learned the true value of teamwork and cooperation towards a common goal. Through teamwork, I learned to value the opinions of all members of the team, not just those in charge. By paying attention to each team member’s point of view, I learned that a team becomes more motivated to work towards a common goal.

In the hyper-competitive supermarket industry, we faced challenges such as unreasonable requests from customers and intense competition from other supermarkets. As a manager, I faced these challenges enthusiastically with a positive attitude. Each new challenge was another opportunity for me to prove my abilities, and I constantly strove to find ways to achieve our profit targets. But with my engineering background, I felt that even though I studied very hard, my lack of business knowledge was impeding my management abilities. Although I was very successful, I knew that I had room for improvement, and that motivated me to find a way to reach my utmost potential.

This realization has led me to take on the challenge of earning an MBA degree from your world-renowned programme. I have the business experience, now I desire to integrate that with the latest business methodologies and theories to become a more complete business professional. For the past 3 years I have worked for xx in group data department as a senior customer manager. I have dealt with thousands of VIP customers and more than 100 large-scale organizations, which has taught me that different customers require different types and levels of services. This segmented market demands a knowledgeable business professional to properly manage it, and while I have done well in this position, in my heart I know that I could do better with the proper education.

My long-term goal is to become a professional business consultant, hopefully as the vice-president or CEO of a reputable consultancy company. Eventually I would like to start my own consultancy company by revolutionizing the way that I assist my clients with their businesses. The first step towards this dream is earning my MBA from xx, and it is my sincere and heartfelt desire that you will give me the opportunity to continue onwards and upwards on my path to success.
